Designating Smoking Areas

For the comfort and safety of all of our guests, we require that smoking be done only in our designated smoking areas. The areas are well marked by signage, as well as blue benches and smoker's outposts. We have nine areas throughout the park and they are denoted on our park maps. Smokers are required to restrict smoking to these areas only. Management reserves the right to ask any guest to leave, without refund, for not complying with this policy.

Bad Weather Policy

  • Rides which do not operate in LIGHT RAIN: Ferris Wheel
  • Rides which do not operate in HEAVY RAIN: Ferris Wheel, American Flyers, Compounce Cabana Boat, Rotor, CP Huntington Train, Kiddie Coaster, Sky Coaster, DownTime, Zoomers Gas N' Go, Jolly Jesters, Pirate Ship, Wipe Out
  • Rides which do not operate in HIGH WINDS: Compounce Cabana Boat, Compounce Mt. Skyride, Sky Coaster
  • Most rides do not operate when there is LIGHTNING, however the following rides DO: Carousel, Ghost Hunt, Bumper Cars, Little Critters, Caterpillar Train

Proper Attire - Shoes and Shirts Required

For your safety, shoes and shirts are required to be worn at all times inside the park, with the exception of inside Splash Harbor water park where proper swim attire is required. When exiting Splash Harbor water park, shoes and shirts should be put on and should stay on until your return to the water park. Those who do not adhere to this policy are subject to removal from Lake Compounce property.

Closed-toed shoes are required to ride the Rotor.

Wheel Chair Accessible Rides

American Flyers, Boulder Dash, Bumper Cars, Carousel, DownTime, Enterprise, Ferris Wheel, Ghost Hunt, all Circus World (KiddieLand) rides, Pirate Ship, Saw Mill Plunge, Thunder N' Lightning, Thunder River Rapids Ride, CP Huntington Train, Twister, Wave Pool, Wave Swinger, Wildcat, Wipe Out, Zoomerang, Zoomers Gas N' Go

Wheelchairs

A limited number of Wheelchairs are available for rent at Chuckles for $5 plus a license as a deposit.

Lockers

Lockers are available for rent in the Bath House at the entrance to Splash Harbor for the rate of $6 per day plus a $3 deposit. A limited number of larger lockers are available for $9 plus a $3 deposit.

Strollers

Strollers are for rent at Chuckles for $6 per day (single) and $8 for double. There are a limited number of strollers and they are available on a first come basis.

Loose Articles and Item Retrieval Policy

For your safety and the safety of others around you, Lake Compounce does not permit loose articles to be taken on rides, this can include cameras, cell phones, sun glasses, baseball hats, etc. Any head wraps or scarves must be secured or tucked in and have no loose ends. Lake Compounce is NOT responsible for retrieving any articles that may have fallen during a ride. Should you lose an article, DO NOT attempt to retrieve the article yourself. Notify the ride attendant and they will direct you to Guest Relations where you may report the loss. If after the park closes, the item is found, you then will be notified.

Rider Responsibility Act

State law requires patrons to obey all posted signs, warnings and instructions and to behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to the injury of themselves or others. Injured patrons or their adult guardians must report all injuries to First Aid before leaving. Disorderly conduct is punishable by up to a five hundred dollar fine and up to three months imprisonment. CT Public Act No. 07-246

Virginia Graeme Baker Pool And Spa Safety Act

On December 19th 2008 the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act went into effect. This new law requires VGB Compliant Pool Drain Grates. We are VGB Compliant but please note in some applications these grates have a raised profile off the floor as mandated by the Law.

Methods of payment accepted are; cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express. Photo ID required for all credit card payments. No checks.

ATM

There is an ATM inside the park gates and one in Good Times gift shop.

Coolers and Outside Food Items

Lake Compounce does not allow any outside coolers, food or beverage to be brought into the park. Your bags will be checked upon entering, and any coolers and/or food item(s) found will not be permitted beyond the bag check area.

Picnic facilities

Picnic facilities are for catered group outings only, reserved through Group Sales.

Additional Information

  • Fishing is not allowed on Lake Compounce
  • No floatation devices are allowed at the swimming part of the beach (except life jackets which are available free of charge at Splash Harbor)
  • Guests may bring their own life jackets provided they are U.S. Coast Guard approved
  • Umbrellas are allowed, but we do not rent them
  • Picnic facilities are for group outings only, reserved through Group Sales
