We want you to know the health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority. We are fully committed to creating the cleanest and safest environment possible for your visit.

The way we will operate this summer is significantly different from what we are all used to as we adapt to the new landscape created by COVID-19. While we are committed to enhanced standards in an effort to keep you as healthy and safe as possible, there remains an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place and any place where people are present. Please, read this page fully to ensure the best experience possible as you plan your visit and join us.

Planning a Visit

In order to comply with key health and safety measures surrounding limiting capacity, social distancing, and touch-free payment, planning a visit to Lake Compunce will look different this summer.

  • Guests are strongly encouraged to register for the date they wish to visit in advance, in addition to their regularly purchased Ticket or Season Pass.
  • If the date you wish to visit is not listed in our online calendar, we have already hit our capacity limit for that date, and you will need to choose another day.
  • All those wishing to enter Lake Compounce (Guests, Team Members, Suppliers, and Contracted Partners) will have their temperatures scanned before entering the park.
  • Any person with a temperature of 100.4°F or higher, or displaying other symptoms of COVID-19, will be denied entry.
  • Facial coverings are also required for all entrants, except children under the age of three. Face shields are not permitted on any attraction and are not a substitute for a facial covering. Face shields are permitted within the park when worn with a facial covering.
  • Crocodile Cove Waterpark may reach capacity before the rest of the park and entry into the waterpark is not guaranteed.

Working Together to Avoid COVID-19

The health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority. In these unprecedented times, we have implemented enhanced health and safety measures to help protect everyone. But we can’t do it alone. We are counting on everyone’s efforts to do their part by cooperating with these new measures that are designed to keep every person visiting and/or working at Lake Compounce healthy and safe.

Guest Responsibilities

  • Wear face coverings per CDC guidelines
  • Submit to temperature check at arrival
  • Wash hands often with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Maintain appropriate (6 ft.) distance from others not in your travel party

Guests should familiarize themselves with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and evaluate their risk in determining whether they should attend our facilities. If you or a family member are ill or think that you may be getting ill, please postpone your visit until you are well.

By visiting our facility, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Season Passholders

Using your Bring-A-Buddy Day or visiting with a child under 3 years old? We have already accounted for Bring-A-Buddy Days and children 3 and under, so you do not need to make additional reservations.

No, the Summer Saver Season Pass is valid only through the end of this Summer and expires on September 20, 2020.
Yes, you do! Any Silver, Gold or Gold Deluxe Season Pass purchased in full or by payment plan on has been extended to include the entire 2021 season.
All Season Parking Passes and All Summer Dining Passes purchased before June 1, 2020 have been extended through the 2021 Season as well. The All Summer Dining Pass is still restricted to the Summer Seasons only. The All Season Parking Passes will expire on 12/31/2021.

All Season Passes purchased, including newly purchased passes through June 15, 2020, have been extended to include the 2021 season. That means Silver, Gold & Gold Deluxe season passes now include the Summer, admission into the park during Haunted Graveyard and Holiday Lights both in 2020 and 2021. Bronze Season Passes will include Summer 2020 and Summer 2021.
Season Passes purchased after June 15, 2020 have not been automatically extended, however, you can purchase a 2021 extension add on for Silver and Gold Season Passes

The Preschool Play Pass has not been extended, however, if your child still qualifies for the pass in 2021, you will have the opportunity to register for one as long as you still have a season pass.
Good Any Day tickets purchased before June 8, 2020 will be valid through the entirety of the 2020 or 2021 Summer Season, and Date-Restricted Tickets will be accepted any day of the 2020 or 2021 Summer Season. Guests with additional questions about their tickets can email to connect with our Guest Services staff.
Surcharges, deposits and date blackouts will be waived on group outing tickets, including school picnic tickets. Group Outing Planners should contact the Lake Compounce Group Sales department by emailing to discuss options to reschedule early-season outings.
Yes, the campground will be opening on July 1, too!

To streamline the check-in process, we are encouraging all guests to pay online prior to arrival. A link to pay your final balance will be sent to you via a confirmation email.

Yes, we are still accepting application! To prepare for the upcoming season we will be hosting all interviews and orientations virtually. You can apply online by clicking here.
Our highest priority remains the safety of all of our Team Members and Guests, and we’re closely following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and Connecticut State Department of Health, along with other government officials and health experts. Some of our evolving sanitation procedures include:
  • Making sure rides and other areas are clean and hygienic
  • Communicating and promoting the need to maintain social distance
  • Promoting regular and thorough hand washing by Team Members, Contractors and Guests
  • Installing sanitizing hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the park to facilitate handwashing amongst Guests
  • Promoting good respiratory hygiene in the workplace
  • Encouraging Guests and Team Members to stay home if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, shown symptoms, or themselves come into contact with an individual at risk or suspected of having contracted COVID-19.
  • Educating all Team Members about illness prevention, preparedness and response

Guests will be required to wear facial coverings. The only exception is for children under the age of three. Guests must wear their facial coverings on rides but may remove their facial coverings to engage in water-related activities. Including in swimming pools, on water slides and water attractions, or while walking to/from these activities. Facial coverings must be removed while enjoying water-related activities in compliance with water safety best practices. Coverings may also be removed in order to eat. Face shields are not permitted on any attraction and are not a substitute for a facial covering. Face shields are permitted within the park when worn with a facial covering.
If you forget your facial covering, we will have some for purchase at the park.

No, all admission must be purchased online through our reservation system. You can purchase tickets here or a season pass here .

However, you can upgrade your admission to a season pass, or your season pass to a higher tier, by visiting guest relations.
Cashless payments are preferred. Not all locations will offer the option to pay with cash. Please plan accordingly.
Yes, but only for bottle refill. Please note, every guest is allowed to bring in one sealed non-alcoholic beverage.
Souvenir Cups are still available, however refills will be given in a paper cup. We cannot refill your Souvenir Cup.
No, you are not expected to socially distance from your travel party in the park or on rides. However, single riders will be appropriately spaced according to the CDC and local health guidelines. Guests will be required to self-sanitize prior to boarding an attraction. Each attraction is equipped with a sanitizer station for your convenience.
While we always strive to have every ride open and operational, due to the pause on preseason preparations as well as new safety procedures, some rides may be delayed or closed for the season.

Please check our website prior to your visit for information on any closed attractions or buildings.
Crocodile Cove will open on July 6 with limited capacity and attraction operations.
