FAQ & Park Rules

Know Before You Go

Your safety, and the safety of our team members, is always our top priority. To ensure a seamless entry into the park and for the most enjoyable visit possible, we’ve enhanced our security procedures for the 2023 season. We are fully confident in our plan, and we want to help you be prepared before you visit the park.

Chaperone Policy

Guests age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age (with valid ID) to enter the park at all times during Phantom Fall Fest. Chaperones may not escort more than 4 guests into the park.

Entrance Policy
All guests pass through our weapons detection system, which uses advanced digital sensors, at the front gate. Signage is in place to inform guests they are entering a security screening area.

Bag Policy
Bags that are larger than 8” X 5” X 2” will not be permitted into the park with the exception of bags needed for childcare supplies and medical bags.

  • When is Phantom Fall Fest?

    Phantom Fall Fest operates every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday September 30 - October 29. The park will be open from 6–10 p.m. on Fridays, 12 – 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with select Saturdays open until 11pm.

  • What does a Phantom Fall Fest ticket include?

    A Phantom Fall Fest ticket includes all-day park access! Play all day on family-friendly rides and enjoy Halloween activities & new dining experiences, then fright all night with four haunts, four scare zones and your favorite thrill rides in the dark! It’s a can’t-miss event for the whole family.

  • Are there any age restrictions?

    Phantom Fall Fest nights are recommended for adults and brave children. If you or someone in your group become too scared to continue, there are many exits throughout each attraction. Please stop an actor and let them know and you will be directed to the exit. Guests under the age of 18 must have a chaperone with them that is over the age of 21. Chaperones may not escort more than 4 guests under the age of 18 into the park.

  • Can I visit Phantom Fall Fest with my season pass?

    2023 & 2024 Gold and Platinum Season Passholders receive full, unlimited access to Phantom Fall Fest.

  • How do I get tickets for Phantom Fall Fest?

    Unlimited admission is included with 2023 & 2024 Gold and Platinum season passes. Single Day tickets are also available for purchase. Follow us on social media for event announcements. Admission includes full access to every single scare zone and haunted maze.

  • Are costumes allowed during Phantom Fall Fest?

    Yes, costumes are even encouraged during our day time hours! Some costumes may not be permitted on select rides for safety purposes. Prop weapons, face paint, and masks are not permitted at any point during Phantom Fall Fest.

  • Can you bring a group to Phantom Fall Fest?

    Yes! Discounts are available during Phantom Fall Fest for groups of 10 or more. Contact our group sales team at info@lakecompounce.com.

  • Are the scare actors allowed to touch you?

    The actors will not touch you at Lake Compounce; however, they do get very close. Occasionally you may end up brushing up against their costumes or props.

  • Are the haunts accessible to guests with disabilities?

    Yes they are. Please stop by guest services so they can answer your questions and give you more specific information.

  • Do haunted houses utilize fog machines?

    Yes, we use fog liberally during Phantom Fall Fest nights. If you find the smoke or odors too intense, there are exits throughout each attraction. Please stop an actor and let them know and you will be directed to the exit.

  • Are there strobe lights?

    Yes, strobe lights are in operation in some of our haunted attractions.

  • Is flash photography allowed inside of your haunted attractions?

    No photography of any sort is permitted inside the haunts.

  • Can I bring food and drink into the park during Phantom Fall Fest?

    Bags that are larger than 8” X 5” X 2” will not be permitted into the park with the exception of bags needed for childcare supplies and medical bags. All food must fit within the permitted 8" x 5" x 2" bag. No alcohol or glass containers will be permitted. Hard-sided coolers are not allowed into Lake Compounce.   • Do you sell souvenirs?

    Yes! Souvenirs can be found in a number of gift shops and kiosks located throughout the park.

  • Guest Code of Safety and Conduct

    For your safety and enjoyment at our Park, please carefully read all the text below. Failure to follow any of the regulations, conditions and instructions set forth below may result in serious injury to yourself or other individuals. Individuals not following Park rules and safety instructions, will be subject to immediate ejection from the Park without refund.

  • Alcoholic Beverages

    Alcoholic beverages may be purchased by guest 21 years of age or older. Proper ID is required to purchase and / or consume alcohol.

    No alcoholic beverages can be brought into Lake Compounce. Alcoholic beverages purchased in the park must be consumed before leaving the park. Guest who are intoxicated may be removed from the park without a refund. Lake Compounce reserves the right to take further action against impaired Guests where appropriate.

  • Behavior

    We expect all guests to behave in a family-friendly manner. Any profanity and unruly behavior are considered offensive to other park guests and could be ejected from the park without a refund.

  • Restricted Areas

    Guest areas are strictly prohibited from entering restricted areas, including rider and backstage areas. Guests should contact the Ride Attendant or Lost and Found/Security to report lost items. Lost personal items will not be retrieved during operating hours. Guests must not attempt to retrieve their lost items. Guests who enter a restricted area may be ejected from the park without a refund. Lake Compounce reserves the right to take further action where appropriate.

  • Prohibited Items

    In addition to items defined in our Guest Code of Conduct and other park policies, the following are prohibited items:

    • Firearms, ammunition, knives, and weapons of any kind.
    • Any kind of hazardous chemicals or other substances, including acids or other items which appear suspicious to Park personnel.
    • Mace/pepper spray and other self-defense or restraining devices.
    • Marijuana (including marijuana-enriched products) or any illegal substance.
    • Fireworks or other similarly explosive any/or flammable objects.
    • Spiked clothing/jewelry.
    • Glass bottles (excluding small containers such as baby food jars).
    • Spray paint/markers.
    • Recreational devices such as drones, remote-controlled devices, laser pointers, scooters, skateboards, and shoes with built-in wheels.
    • Selfie sticks, monopods, and similar hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices.
  • Dress Code

    To ensure that all guests visiting Lake Compounce can enjoy their visit, and in keeping with our family-friendly environment, as well as for health and safety reasons, Lake Compounce maintains and enforces a dress code. Guest should dress casually and comfortably as is appropriate for the local weather. All Guests must wear proper attire, such as shirts/tops, shorts/pants and footwear, at all times within the theme park.

    Guest should wear a cover-up or shirt/top and shorts/pants over their bathing suits while enjoying the theme park.

    Lake Compounce reserves the right to deny admission to or remove anyone whose attire does not comply with the Guest Dress Code or could detract from the experience of other guests if the Guest refuses all reasonable options. Guest requiring accommodations to our Guest Dress Code should visit Guest Services and speak to a member of the park management team upon arrival at Lake Compounce.

  • Children/Teens - Notice to Parents & Guardians

    Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their minor children. Appropriate behavior and supervision are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors. Parents/guardians may be held legally liable for all acts of the children under their care.

  • Designated Smoking Areas

    For the comfort and safety of all guests, we require that smoking be done only in our designated smoking areas. The areas are well marked by signage, as well as blue benches and smoker's outposts. We have nine areas throughout the park and they are denoted on our park maps. Smokers are required to restrict smoking to these areas only. Management reserves the right to ask any guest to leave, without refund, for not complying with this policy.

  • Language

    Guest should not use profanity or abusive language, symbols, or gestures towards other Guests and our Team Members. Guests who do so may be ejected form the park without a refund.

  • Line Jumping

    Line jumping is strictly prohibited. Guests who choose to leave a line for any reason may not return to the same spot and must reenter at the end of the line. Guests are not permitted to save spots for other guests. Violators will be ejected without a refund.

  • Food, Drinks, Hard Coolers

    Lake Compounce permits only unopened bottled water and bottled sports hydration drinks into the park. Hard coolers are not permitted. No alcohol or glass containers will be permitted. Empty refillable water bottles may be brought into the park and filled at bottle-filling stations throughout the park.

  • Facial Coverings

    Masks that cover some or all of a person’s face are not permitted to be worn by any guest after 6 p.m. The only exceptions are surgical masks or N95/KN95 masks. If masks of this nature are worn, they must be free from additional coverings including but not limited to fake blood, makeup or coloring.

  • Bag Check

    Lake Compounce reserves the right to inspect all guest's packages, purses, backpacks, and fanny packs prior to entering the park. Sharp objects, weapons and illegal contraband will not be permitted in the park. Please leave any unnecessary articles in your vehicle to expedite your entry. We recommend that you secure such items in the trunk of your vehicle.

  • Pets

    Pets are not allowed into Lake Compounce. Valid service animals are an exception to this. Service animals may be restricted from riding most rides inside Lake Compounce. Service animals must remain on leash and in the guest's possession at all times.
