Safety is Our #1 Priority

Guest Code of Safety and Conduct

For your safety and enjoyment at our Park, please carefully read all of the text below. Failure to follow any of the regulations, conditions and instructions set forth below may result in serious injury to yourself or other individuals. Individuals not following Park rules and safety instructions, will be subject to immediate ejection from the Park without refund.

  • Safety 1st!

    Safety is our top priority.  Our goal is to accommodate all guests to enable them to fully enjoy our Park.

    For Your Safety:

    •  If you see something, say something.
    •  No Running.
    •  Surfaces may be slippery or wet—especially in bathrooms, on and around any water attractions, and in cafes or food areas.
    •  Ride operators may ask you to remove loose articles that may become unsecure during a ride.
    • We recommend wearing closed toed comfortable shoes for your most enjoyable experience.
    • Climbing on or hanging from any structures is strictly prohibited.
    • We ask that you do not sit on any fences, railings or banisters throughout the park.
    • Parking -  Please drive slowly and carefully at all times (including into and out of parking spaces) when entering or exiting the lot.
    • Hands Free. Electronic devices, including photographic or recording equipment (e.g., phones of any kind, selfie-sticks, cameras of any kind, flashlights, radios, headphones , etc.), are not permitted on any ride.
    • Know Before You Go! Before getting on a ride, make sure to observe the ride in operation, and how people board and exit. If anything makes you uncomfortable about participating, please do not participate.
    • Read and abide by all safety signage, attendant instructions, and recorded warnings and instructions. if you have questions, please ask an attendant.
    • Do not participate in any ride, activity or attraction, if you are under the influence of any alcohol, drugs (whether legal medication or illegal substances) or other substances which may affect your health, senses, and body reflexes and coordination.
    • Do not participate in any ride, activity or attraction, if you have any health conditions or pre-existing conditions or injuries.
  • Chaperone Policy

    Effective September 21, 2024

    We are committed to maintaining a family friendly environment where our visitors can feel safe and welcome as they enjoy a day in our park.

    To continue our commitment Lake Compounce chaperone policy states: All guests ages 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old with a valid ID to enter the park at any time. Chaperones may not escort more than 4 guests.

    Lake Compounce to continues to provide a positive environment where all park-goers can come to enjoy a day of uninterrupted entertainment. The safety of our park guests and our Team Members remains our top priority.

    Under this policy, all guests ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone at least 21 years of age or older at all times when inside the park, or the minors will face immediate ejection from the park. This policy is subject to change at Lake Compounce’s discretion.

    Upon park entry, a chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. One chaperone may accompany no more than four guests ages 17 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry and throughout their park visit.

    This chaperone policy applies to all Lake Compounce Single-Day Ticket Holders and Season Pass Holders. For questions regarding school groups please contact the Group Sales department.

     

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

    Does the chaperone need to always stay with the group?
    Chaperones must accompany their party during entry and throughout their visit to the park.

    One chaperone may accompany no more than four guests ages 17 or younger per day.

    What happens if guests 17 years old or younger do not have a chaperone?
    Guests ages 17 or younger will not be permitted into the park without a chaperone that is at least 21 years of age.

    Chaperones must present a valid ID and may not escort more than 4 guests into the park.

    I am coming with a pre-scheduled company event or school group, does this policy apply?
    A chaperone policy still applies to all group events. If you purchased tickets through our Group Sales department and have questions, please contact the Group Sales department.

    All groups with children 17 years and younger must provide one chaperone for every 10 minors.

  • Prohibited Items

    Each of the following items are strictly prohibited from entering the park. The park will ask all guests to pass through a state-of-the-art metal detector and will conduct bag checks upon entry.

    • Weapons: Weaponry of any kind is strictly prohibited at the park
    • Inherently Dangerous Objects/Substances
    • Beach umbrellas, tents, pop-up tents
    • Portable beach chairs
  • Security At The Park

    • All Guests, Team Members and Management must pass through metal detectors at the entrance gate, and all bags, purses and coolers are subject to search. Hard coolers are prohibited from the park.
    • If you experience a security issue, please notify Park staff; we are here to assist you.

  • Rider Responsibility

    • Be safe and have fun! 
    • We care deeply about all our guests and want everyone to have happy memories that last a lifetime.  That is why safety must always come first above and beyond anyone’s desire to participate in a ride, attraction, activity, or area of the Park.  In addition, if the Park determines in its sole discretion that you are not able to safely participate in a ride or attraction, we may prevent you from doing so.
    • Finally, if at any time you feel you need help due to an injury or medical concern, please immediately notify a park staff member and ask for help.

  • Weather Safety

    The weather is unpredictable, in the event of a park closure due to weather, please visit guest relations for a return ticket to enjoy the park another day! With our rainy-day guarantee, if the park ever closes due to weather you are welcome to receive return tickets free of charge. If the park does not open for the day due to weather, your tickets will be made valid for any one day during the season.

    The park does not issue refunds for tickets or Season Passes due to weather conditions.

  • Bag Policy

    Bags that are larger than 15” X 15” X 15” will not be permitted into the park with the exception of bags needed for childcare supplies and medical bags. 

  • Food & Beverage

    The Park has a wide assortment of foods and beverages available, including bottled water.  Contact the Park if you desire more specific information not available on these web pages.

    Unlimited Beverage Policy: In order to redeem this benefit you must present and scan your Souvenir Cup at time of beverage redemption, no exceptions. Limit of (1) fountain beverage served per Souvenir Cup at a time. This benefit is not applicable for Free Friend Tickets.

    To our guests with food sensitivities, allergies or special dietary needs: Our food outlets prepare and serve products sourced from third parties, which contain peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, eggs, milk, soy and gluten. Regular kitchen operations involve shared cooking and preparation areas, and food variations may occur to differences in suppliers, ingredient, substations, recipe revisions, and /or preparation at the parks.

  • Personal Food, Beverage & Coolers

    • Guests may bring personal foods into the Park so long as all food fits within a 12”X 12” X 12” soft sided cooler, guests are welcome to bring in 1 cooler per guest. One sealed or empty reusable water bottle per guest is also permitted. Free water bottle refill stations can be found throughout the park.
    • Stay Hydrated During Your Visit! For your convenience water fountains and water bottle refill stations can be found throughout the park. Water can also be found at all food locations. We allow 1 sealed non-alcoholic plastic bottled beverage to be brought in per guest and encourage guests to bring in reusable water bottles to fill at re-fillable water bottle stations. Drinks in cans or glass bottles are not permitted.
  • No Animals

    Animals of any kind are not allowed in the park, except for legally-defined service animals.

    Even if a “service animal” is verified, and allowed to enter the park, please be aware that you are still responsible for controlling it at all times.

  • Rules of Guest Behavior

    All guests must behave in a family-friendly, respectful, and courteous manner, and in a manner which is safe for themselves and for others. Violations may result in ejection from certain rides, attractions, areas of the Park, or from the Park itself, without refund or other compensation. They may also result in the Park contacting appropriate law enforcement authorities. 

    The following is strictly prohibited, subjecting the violator to ejection without refund:

    • Fighting. The Park does not tolerate aggressive or threatening behavior.  This includes fights (physical or verbal), challenges to fight or any threat thereof, or any form of physical assault upon or intimidation of another person.
    • Sexual Activity or Misconduct. Sexual activity, and displays of sexuality, are inappropriate for a family-friendly amusement Park.  Guests may be asked to cease such activity and warned about the possibility of ejection, or they may be ejected without refund.
    • Unruly Behavior. “Horseplay” in any amusement or water park setting can be dangerous to you and to those around you. Accordingly, all manner of “horseplay” is prohibited.
    • Courtesy for the Disabled.  Please respect people with disabilities and the elderly and any areas (seating, parking spaces, etc.)  which may be reserved for them.  Please be patient if you are waiting in line, while we seek to accommodate a guest with special needs. 
    • Line-Cutting/Line-Saving. Guests may not save places in line for themselves or others; let friends, family, or others later join them in line or take their place in line; push past or bypass others; or leave and return to “their space”.  If you or anyone in your group leaves a line-for whatever reason (including the need to use a restroom), then upon that person’s return, that person must go to the back of the line.
    • Smoking. Smoking of any substance, through any means, is not permitted unless located in a designated smoking area this includes electronic cigarettes and marijuana.
    • Drugs. Illicit drugs are strictly prohibited.  Authorities may be called for anyone in possession of, using, selling, or distributing, any illicit substances.
    • Property Damage and Theft. Any damage to or destruction of Park property (or the property of another), or theft of any property, will not be tolerated.
    • Entry into Employee-Only and other Non-Guest Areas. Many non-guest areas can pose hazards—do NOT enter these areas.  Guests are strictly prohibited from entering any area with obvious signage such as, “EMPLOYEE ONLY,” “NO ACCESS,” “KEEP OUT,” or “DO NOT ENTER.”
    • Violations of any of these rules subject guests to ejection without refund, or (in the case of criminal acts), being held by Park staff or security until law enforcement arrives and assumes control of a matter.
  • Dress Code

    In keeping with a family-friendly environment, the Park prohibits clothing that would tend to be offensive and/or too revealing of one’s body. This includes the following rules:

    • Amusement Park Attire – Shoes and appropriate clothing are required at all times.
    • Water Park Attire – Appropriate swimwear is required for water rides or water-play structures. Swimwear, which is too provocative or revealing, including transparent or mesh-style material, is prohibited.
    • For safety reasons and to prevent property damage of rides and attractions, the Park prohibits clothing/swimwear with metal rivets or spikes, Shoes of any kind are not allowed on any water slide or tube rides.
    • Masks, horror, or Halloween-style attire are not permitted. We do not permit clothing that depicts violence.
    • No vulgar or offensive statements or artwork on clothing.
  • Operational Policies

    • Prices and operating schedule are subject to change without notice..
    • All attractions are subject to temporary maintenance, safety or inclement weather shutdowns.
    • Season Pass holders must present their passes to gain entrance to the Park (Season Passes are NOT transferable for others to use). Season Pass entry is only valid once a day. Guests who leave the Park and plan to return must get their hands stamped before they leave the Park at the exit/re-entry gate.
    • If you have lost your Season Pass, Guest Relations can print a new one for a non-refundable $10 charge.
    • Free Friend Passes do not receive the benefits of a Season Pass.
    • These Park Rules & Policies are not comprehensive and are subject to change without notice.
  • Legal Limitations and Liability

    • It is the responsibility of the Season Pass hold to be familiar with Lake Compounce Safety and Security Guidelines. Deviation from these guidelines may result in the revocation of the Season Pass without compensation.
    • Your picture will remain on file and will be checked, should a duplicate pass be necessary. Your Season Pass is non-transferable and may only be used by the person whose picture appears on the Pass.
    • There are no refunds or exchanges on Season Passes. Passes used in violation of any of the listed policies may be revoked by the issuer at any time and shall remain the property of Lake Compounce.
    • Season Pass (“Pass”) is valid for one daily admission to the park referenced on the front of this Pass (“Pass”) by the registered holder of the Pass (“Passholder”) during the identified season, during regular operating hours. Presentation of this Pass by anyone other than the Passholder is a criminal offence. Pass is only valid if purchased from the company owning or operating the Park (“Company”) or authorized ticketing agent. Passholders who must re-enter the Park must use hand-stamp system. Days and hours of operation are subject to change without notice. Pass is not valid for admission to catered or private events. Admission to certain rides, shows, attractions, special events and concerts may require additional charge or reservations, or be subject to height/age safety restrictions. Parking, food, merchandise, games and arcades require additional charge. The Park reserves the right to temporarily deny admission to Passholder in the event Park capacity limits have been met or for other circumstances which the Park may deem appropriate. Company may expel Passholder and may revoke Pass without refund for any of the following: disorderly, disruptive, inappropriate or offensive conduct, clothing markings or language; possession of a firearm or other instrument that could be used as a weapon/fraudulent use, alteration or reproduction of Pass/breaking posted or printed Park rules or breaking the law; or anything the Company deems could compromise the safety of the Park guests or employees. Passholder grants Company, its licensees, its corporate partners, its affiliated entities and its respective officers, directors, shareholder, agents, employees and representatives (“Companies”) the right to use Passholder’s name, photograph, voice, or likeness in any advertising or promotional materials, in any and all media, including Companies’ web site, without notice, payment or consideration and without regard to alterations.
    • PASSHOLDER RELEASES COMPANIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, CAUSES OF ACTION, LOSSES, EXPENSES, COSTS AND LIABILITIES, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER WHICH PASSHOLDER MAY HEREAFTER INCUR OR HAVE AGAINST ANY OF THEM WHICH MAY ARISE OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PARK OR ANYTHING OCCURING ON PARK PREMISES, INCLUDING THOSE ARISING OUT OF COMPANIES’ NEGLIGENCE.
