    Q: What time does Lake Compounce open?
    A: Our operating schedule can be found online here.

    Q: What is Lake Compounce campground’s operating season?
    A: Lake Compounce Campground is open April 26, 2024 through November 5, 2024.

    Q: When do we check in?
    A: Check-in varies by site type:
    Cub huts, cabins and tipis: Check in begins at 3 p.m.
    Tents and RVs: Check In begins at 12 p.m.

    Q: When do we check out?
    A: Checkout is at 11:00 a.m. for all site types

    Q: What are the hours of the camp store?
    A: During April, May, June, October, and November, the camp store will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. During July and August the camp store will open at 8 a.m. daily and close one hour after Lake Compounce closes. Hours are subject to change.

    Q: How do we get to Lake Compounce from the campground? How far is the campground from Lake Compounce?
    A: Lake Compounce is within walking distance (3/4 mile) of the campground; however, we offer a tram service to and from the campground daily (May-September)
    Note: Please note our tram service is currently down.
    *Personal vehicles can be driven over to the Lake Compounce Parking lot without any additional charges.

    Q: What is included in the cabins?
    A: Cabins have a full kitchen and bathroom along with 2 full-size beds and 2 bunk beds. Cabins also include broadcast TV, wi-fi, heat/air conditioning, linens for the 4 beds (no blankets or comforters provided) towels, shampoo, and conditioner. Cabins do not include cookware or dishware.

    Q: What is included in the cub huts?
    A: Cub Huts include two full-sized beds, a mini-fridge, Heat/Air Conditioning, broadcast TV, linens for the two beds (no blankets or comforters provided), close access to clean public restrooms, a fire pit, and a picnic table.

    Q: Are pools allowed at the Lake Compounce campground?
    A: No type of pool, slip n slide etc. is allowed at Lake Compounce campground. To cool off, Lake Compounce Amusement and Water Park is available.

    Q: What is the cancellation policy?
    A: We require a minimum of 7 days (for tents) and 14 days (for cabins) to cancel your stay and receive a full refund. A full refund does not include a refund of the $5 booking fee. If you cancel your stay after the deadlines there will be a $45.00 fee assessed.

    Q: Are tickets included in the rental of the site?
    A: Tickets are sold separately. We do have discounted park admission rates available at $34.99 for one day, and the second day is only $15.00.

    Q: Are there things to do at the campground itself?
    A: We have many family-friendly outdoor recreational activities to enjoy. Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Swing and play area for children, and more to enjoy on the grounds during your stay.. 

    Q: What is your weather policy?
    A: Lake Compounce campground is open rain or shine. Lake Compounce only closes when there is heavy lightning in the area. There will be indoor activities available until the storm passes at the campground. We do not issue refunds or rain checks.

    Q: Are there bathrooms located at Lake Compounce campground?
    A: Yes! There are public restrooms available at Lake Compounce campground. They are complete with changing areas and showers.

    Q: Where is Lake Compounce campground located?
    A: Lake Compounce campground is conveniently located in central Connecticut about two miles from Exit 31 off Interstate 84. For GPS or Internet directions use 185 Enterprise Drive, Bristol, CT 06010.

    Q: Where on Lake Compounce property is the campground?
    A: It is located in the wooded area to the left and rear of the Lake Compounce parking lot.

    Q: Can we bring our own firewood?
    A: Unfortunately, firewood from outside the campground is not permitted per state law. However, we sell firewood at the camp store.

    Q: How many people does the cub hut accommodate?
    A: 4 people max

    Q: Are pets allowed?
    A: Dogs are allowed in the RV and tent sites only. They must be leashed and under control at all times.
    Note: Dogs are not allowed inside of Lake Compounce Amusement & Water Park. Please remember to pick up after your pups.

    Q: Once I book, how can I obtain discounted tickets to Lake Compounce?
    A: You can purchase day tickets at check-in, or purchase our Silver Season Pass which allows unlimited admission during the summer season (check operating schedule for dates and times) those can be purchased here: tickets-and-passes

    Q: I understand check-in at 3 pm but if I arrive early, am I able to retrieve tickets to Lake Compounce, spend the day there and check-in after the park is closed?
    A: Yes, we can check you in, put you on a waiting list (we will call you when your cabin/cub hut is ready) so you and your family will be able to enjoy the park before check-in

    Q: Are generators allowed?
    A: No, generators are not allowed at Lake Compounce Campground. 

    Q: Do Season Passholders get a discount on stays at the campground?
    A: Yes, Platinum Passholders receive a 20% discount while our Gold Passholders receive 15% discount. Please call the Lake Compounce Campground at (860) 583-3300 to redeem.
